These four new paintings were painted for the "The Parks of Washington" show by the Washington Society of Landscape Painters at the American Painting gallery in DC. Details are available on my calendar page.

My paintings that have been included in the prestigious National Arts for the Parks have been from the Maryland and DC area, especially the C&O Canal National Historical Park and the Potomac River. Three recent ones below are Harpers Ferry, Riverbend, and Autumn at Point of Rocks. Other favorite areas are the picturesque rolling hills of Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

My oil landscapes begin as small field sketches on location, either 8 x 10 or 9 x 12. The equipment necessary for these sketches must be portable and include all essential materials: easel, paints, brushes, clean-up materials, umbrella, bug spray, sun-screen, camera, etc.
