This is the first of my occasional e-newsletters to let you know what I am doing and where I will be and when. You may find the details of the major items at www.barbaranuss.com/calendar/html.

The first event is the competition "Paint Annapolis," sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association. I will be painting with 24 other artists in a specified historic area of Annapolis, MD for three days: Thursday through Saturday, September 20-22. We are required to complete two paintings in the three days, which are then displayed at Maryland Hall on Sunday, the 23rd for a reception, from 3 - 6 pm. All are welcome.

Then there is the Art at the Mill at Burwell-Morgan Mill in Millwood, VA. This is my first time at this show and I will have three paintings exhibited with two in reserve. This show opens on October 6 through the 24, with the opening reception on Sunday, October 14 from 2 - 5 pm., which I plan to attend.

Also in October, I will be displaying two paintings at the Arts Barn in Kentlands, Gaithersburg, MD at the National League of American Pen Women's MD State Biennial. The exhibition will run from Thursday September 20 through Sunday, November 11. The opening reception is Thursday, October 4, 7-8:30 pm., which I will be attending. All are welcome to come.

I continue to have paintings displayed at American Painting Fine Art on MacArthur Blvd., DC, at American Painting Fine Art on East 6th Street in New York City, and Illuminaria Fine Art in Chatham, MA.

The museum store of Historic Annapolis Foundation at 77 Main Street in Annapolis has my four new Annapolis giclee prints for sale.

On Monday September 10, I will be giving a critique to the members of the Laurel Art Guild at Montpelier Mansion in Laurel.
